Long Night returns on Friday 19 October, from 4pm until late as part of Liverpool Biennial International Festival of Contemporary Art.
Enjoy a captivating evening of visual arts and culture with late openings and special events across Liverpool Biennial exhibitions and beyond. If you struggle to find the time to visit the city’s world-class galleries then this is the perfect night for you.
Navigate your own cultural route around the city centre and explore some wonderful exhibitions, inspiring performances and unusual venues.
Highlights include: The Unexpected Guest at venues across the city; Sky Arts ignition: Doug Aitken – The Source at Tate Liverpool; Bloomberg New Contemporaries and City States at LJMU Copperas Hill Building and the John Moores Painting Prize at The Walker Art Gallery.
In addition there are special events at FACT, the Bluecoat, Victoria Gallery & Museum as well as venues such as: Arena Studios & Gallery; The Lantern Theatre; The Gallery in the Baltic Triangle; Unit 8 on the Albert Dock; Static Gallery; Red Wire Studios and Unity Theatre.
The Walker Art Gallery is also hosting three performances of Stargazing by the acclaimed Sense of Sound Choir. And the LJMU Copperas Hill Building is presenting for one night only The Macallan Master Class which introduces the Annie Leibovitz edition of the Masters of Photography series, representing the coming together of mastery in two great art forms, whisky-making and photography.
