Williamson Art Gallery and Museum, Slatey Road, Birkenhead, CH43
Saturday 19th May 1:30 – 4:00pm, £25
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you will make one or more pieces of jewellery using metal charms, glass or semi-precious beads, and silver plated chain and findings.
Choose from bracelets, necklaces, pin brooches and earrings, and make as many as you can in the available time.
Your tutor Dee, is an experienced jeweller and teacher and will give you all the help and guidance needed to design and make some original and beautiful jewellery to suit your own style and taste, and all finished to a professional standard. Whether you’ve dabbled with jewellery making in the past or never held a pair of pliers, you’ll easily learn the necessary skills with a little practice.
As the materials are quite small and fiddly, you’ll need good manual dexterity and eyesight – bring glasses if you need them for close work. It will also be useful to bring a box to carry your treasures home in.
All materials and use of tools are included in the price. The ear wires supplied are silver plated. Sterling silver ear wires, and a selection of gift boxes and pouches, will be available for a small additional cost.
To book your place, please call 0151 666 3537 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
This workshop is suitable for ages 16+. A few spaces will be available for ages 12 – 15 when accompanied by a participating adult – please check when booking.
