Liverpool Art Fair 2018 – Call for Artist Submissions, deadline 7 May

Pier Head Village, Liverpool Waterfront, deadline 7 May

Liverpool Art Fair is back for a seventh year in the summer of 2018 and looking for hundreds of local artists to get involved!

For 10 weeks in 2017, Liverpool Art Fair, as part of Pier Head Village, took up residence on the iconic Liverpool Waterfront, in the shadow of the Port of Liverpool Building and the Museum of Liverpool. The event was a huge success, welcoming over 25000 visitors, showcasing the work of over 100 local artists in a purpose-built gallery constructed from five shipping containers and selling hundreds of art works, priced from £20 to £2000, to customers from across the region, the country and the world! After the success of the move to the Pier Head, we will once again be taking up residence on Liverpool Waterfront this summer.

They will be open to the public from 12-7pm, 7 days a week, from 6th July – 2nd September 2018. Entry is FREE!

Liverpool Art Fair is an annual event which started in 2012, aiming to showcase a wide range of affordable original art by a plethora of local artists; providing a unique insight into the region’s creative talent and the opportunity for everyone, from seasoned collector to first time art buyer, to own their own piece of the Liverpool art world.

Liverpool Art Fair was launched in May 2012 as part of the inaugural Liverpool Art Month, at the then brand new Camp and Furnace, which again hosted the event in 2013. In 2014 they moved to The Gallery Liverpool, where the event was held for three years. Last year, for the sixth fair, we were invited to relocate to the Pier Head and also grew from a 4 day to a 10 week event.

Liverpool Art Fair2018 will take place from throughout July and August, at Liverpool’s Iconic Pier Head, as part of the Pier Head Village.

This is an open submission event, and they are inviting all artists based within a 35 mile radius of Liverpool, to submit work for inclusion.

Submission Process:

  • Read the Information for Artists document on the Liverpool Art Fair website to make sure you are eligible.
  • Please complete the online Submission Form by midnight on Monday 7th May:
  • You will need full details of all the works you are submitting along with images.

Liverpool Art Fair is an exciting open submission selling event, designed to connect local artists with new art buyers on a large scale, break down barriers, and make affordable art accessible to all.

Liverpool Art Fair has been developed by dot-art, a Liverpool based arts organisation which has been supporting artists and developing innovative and creative visual arts projects and initiatives for over 12 years.

dot-art supports visual artists and champions art as an integral part of everyday life.

We do this by selling locally sourced, affordable art, working with businesses to put art in the workplace and public realm, running art classes and working with schools and community groups.

All this is underpinned by our unique membership scheme for artists in the North West which gives access to all the activities above and a package of support and advice, creating and developing artists’ careers.
