Across the Threshold 2018 – 13-14 April – The Baltic Triangle, Liverpool
2 Days of Music, Arts & Discussion by Threshold Festival Team

Are you a songwriter?

Can you write a new song based on a theme?

Can you write that song within 24 hours?

If the answer to all these questions is ‘yes’ then the Liverpool Acoustic 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge is made for you!

New for 2018, Liverpool Acoustic is teaming up with Across The Threshold to introduce a brand new challenge to the region’s songwriters. A theme will be unveiled at 1.00pm on Friday 13th April 2018 on the Songwriting Challenge website and across social media channels. Songwriters will then have 24 hours to write a new song that fits the theme and register to perform it at the Showcase Event starting at 1.00pm on Saturday 14th April.

The Showcase Event takes place at Hobo Kiosk Pub and is free entry. Performance places will be allocated in the order registered.

One theme.

One new song.

24 hours.

Ready? Go!

Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge

Following the success and building on the legacy of seven consecutive years of their Festival of Music & Arts, Threshold are returning to the Baltic Triangle on April 13th & 14th to bring you a special, scaled down mini-festival and industry event.

Over 2 days with long-term partner venues District, Unit 51 and Baltic Creative, Across the Threshold will showcase a snapshot of some of the North West’s and UK’s best grass roots music, visual arts and innovative performance.

That’s not all. The 2 day event will also host panels, talks and workshops centred around the future of the festival, the Baltic Triangle and the creative community as a whole.

“Team Threshold have been showcasing new and emerging talent in the equally fresh Baltic Triangle area since 2011. The area is now booming and we feel like an integral part of that. It’s great to be able to celebrate the last few years with a massive party and also sit down and discuss the future.
