Mosaics book launch, 12 October

On Thursday 12th October, 6:30pm Writing on the Wall proudly invites you to the book launch of ‘Mosaics’ at SIREN Liverpool (54 St James St, Liverpool, L1 0AB) showcasing 13 talented new writers from our first innovative 12-week Write to Work programme.

Mosaics is a captivating collection of diverse stories, poems, reviews, articles and observations. Each piece in this anthology, from the humorous to the heartbreaking, highlights the quality writing produced by the participants and the diversity of skills learnt on the Write to Work course. Please join us in celebrating the launch of this book, with readings from the writers and the opportunity to meet them all.

This will be an exciting opportunity to exclusively listen to new local Liverpool talent. The success of the Write to Work programme has been far reaching with two of our previous writers on the course going on to become finalists in Writing on The Wall’s national novel writing competition, Pulp Idol. The runner up in the competition has already published three novels and is currently in the process of writing their fourth novel. Other writers have also gone on to have articles published in The Guardian, become freelance copywriters and proofreaders, as well as obtaining full time jobs within the arts sector.

Write to Work is a 12-week programme, helping unemployed learners explore a diverse range of writing skills, from blogging to review writing to copy writing, serving as a route to employment, further education or vocational training.
