On the Verge Festival, Hope Street Limited, 76-78 Lord Street, Liverpool, L2
Unique Liverpool festival now looking for submissions for performances in unusual places
Hope Street Ltd, producers of On the Verge, want to hear from emerging artists/companies with fresh ideas, who can challenge themselves and their artforms in new ways, to create something unforgettable for audiences.
They want to hear proposals for pieces to take place somewhere that isn’t already an established performance venue or location. The proposals can be for any live performance work and must be from artists or companies at the onset of their careers.
On the Verge not only showcases new work, it’s a 9 month programme during which the selected artists/companies will have access to a bespoke package of developmental support from Hope Street Ltd before, during and after the festival. This may take the form of creative production support, help with fundraising, creative mentoring, marketing and future planning.
They are looking for the most exciting, edgy and innovative work by the next generation of performance makers and creators.
Montserrat Gili, Hope Street’s Creative Director: “We will work closely with the selected artists or companies to support them to realise the pieces to be performed in this unique festival in Liverpool.”
