Free exhibitions at the Bluecoat this Christmas, School Lane, Liverpool City Centre
Bluecoat is Liverpool’s centre for contemporary arts and they support and exhibit a wide variety of both up-and-coming and established artists. Explore their three winter exhibitions, displaying work from a diverse selection of artists.
There’s Keith Piper’s Unearthing the Banker’s Bones a science fiction inspired exhibition set in an apocalyptic future. Or why not visit Adham Faramawy’s Janus Collapse (the juice-box edition), an immersive video installation which explores the impact advertising has on us, something that feels especially relevant considering the constant advertising bombardment we experience at this time of year. Also on display is Auto Agents, an exhibition of works by artists from The Royal Standard studios in Liverpool, curated by the AaA collective, a group of five people with learning disabilities. And because the exhibitions are all free, a visit during the most expensive time of year won’t break the bank!
