About the Bandstands

The Williamson Square Bandstand in the heart of the city centre been specially created as a unique platform to showcase Liverpool’s individuality and the incredible artistic and musical talent in the region.

The Stanley Park and Sefton Park bandstands have been popular performance sites since the Victorian era. The recent refurbishment of the beautiful Isla Gladstone Conservatory at Stanley Park has led to a return to greatness for this historic site. And Sefton Park Bandstand’s legacy runs deep, with a well founded legend that it was the inspiration behind the song Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, written in the 60’s by a couple of locals.
