Mehboob Nadeem is a gifted UK based sitarist and vocalist. Trained in the Agra Gharana from a young age, he has developed a keen aesthetic sense for music which has contributed to his excellent skill with improvisation and the rendering of ragas.  Under his Guru and mentor Pandit Arvind Parikh he has excelled and is now acknowledged as one of the most accomplished musicians of the present generation of the Vilayatkhani Gharana, and to be one of the best sitar players in the UK.  In this concert, Nadeem plays special tribute to one of the greatest Sitarists of all time, Ustad Vilayat Khan, playing a selection of his most memorable compositions. Mehboob will be accompanied by tabla artist Shahbaz Hussain.

Music for the Mind and Soul is a concert series conceived as an opportunity for people to escape the daily stresses of city life, and enjoy a few hours of pure relaxation. Each month listeners are treated to world class music in a beautiful setting, with each concert featuring a different instrument, artist and style of music.
